REGION
Located within an easy 2 hours drive of Caen, 2. 5 hours from Le Havre and 4. 5 hours from Calais, La Petite Martiniere is located in the verdant Loire region, known as the 'Garden of France'. For those that would prefer to fly, there are also a number of airports that serve the area. These include Dinard St Malo and Nantes both 2 hours drive and Rennes at only 1 hour away.
The fishery itself is situated in an isolated location, equidistant between the market towns of Fougeres and Mayenne and just outside a sleepy little village where life still runs at a more traditional pace. The local village hosts a boulangerie for fresh bread and delicious sweet treats, a shop for any forgotten basics, a bar/tabac and even a small restaurant. The area is also adorned with walking routes, taking in a number of the local historic sites - ideal if you are planning to bring a non-angling partner who would like to explore the local area on foot.
If you would like any help to arrange day-trips out or to get some travel tips, including help to arrange taxi services to suit your schedule, we would be glad to help.
